The New Mercedes-AMG CLA35 4MATIC

With its athletic proportions, the Mercedes-AMG CLA 35 4MATIC Coupé stands out very clearly from series production. The AMG-specific radiator grille with special flics as air deflector elements on the outer air inlets in the front apron does not leave any doubt about this. From the rear, the coupé with the exhaust tailpipe trims positioned on the left and right, with a diameter of 90 mm, stands out significantly from the competition.

An Icon of Style Reaches Forward

Smoother, sleeker and even more beautifully proportioned, the second-generation CLA takes its 4-door coupe design into a new era. Slimmer LED headlamps flank a grille with a pronounced forward lean. The profile is clean and elegantly crisp, its athletic stance further asserted by 18-inch wheels.

AMG Body Styling

A sculpted front air dam, flared side sills and deep rear valance team with 18-inch wheels for a gripping appearance befitting the car's handling. The front apron's outer air intakes feature matte chrome slats and black flics, to channel air to the running gear and around to the shapely side sills.

Sporty End

Dual round chrome tailpipes punctuate a deep rear valance with a black diffuser insert. A wind-tunnel-shaped rear spoiler spans the trailing edge of he trunklid. Wider, slimmer LED taillamps wrap around the shapely trunklid that's made even more elegant by relocating the license plate just above the sporty rear valance.

LED Daytime Running Lamps

Bright white LED Daytime Running Lamps help get the CLA noticed, for added safety and in modern style. Their distinctive angular design accentuates the subtle forward lean of the grille.

Fine materials, forward-thinking technology and fresh style unite in a cabin that's at once spacious and enveloping. Digital instruments and displays, touchpads on the steering wheel and console, and an industry-advancing voice interface enhance ease of use.

Sport Steering Wheel

The steering wheel features a racing-inspired flat-bottom design, thick padding and a leather-wrapped rim with perforated side grips, putting the delights of precise handling literally in the driver's hands. Raised thumbrests are placed at the ideal "10 and 2 o'clock" positions, near the shift paddles.

Steering-Wheel Touch Control Buttons

Innovative Touch Controls elevate the multifunction steering wheel to an unparalleled level of user-friendliness. In addition to fingertip buttons for features like audio, Bluetooth® and cruise control, smartphone-like pads offer direct control of nearly every cockpit feature. Swiping through menus is easy: Your left thumb operates the menu screen in the gauge cluster, and your right thumb controls the large central screen without taking your hands from the wheel's leather-wrapped rim.

Aluminium Shift Paddles

A satin aluminum finish adds an even sportier look and feel to the standard shift paddles behind each upper steering-wheel spoke.

10.25 Digital Instrument Cluster

A vivid 10.25-inch screen directly in front of the driver offers customizable analog-style and digital displays for instrumentation and exclusive AMG readouts. The panel also integrates a large multifunction menu screen with illustrated and animated menus for vehicle information, settings and driver-assistance features. Several instrumentation styles can be selected, featuring a variety of AMG-specific analog-style, digital and graphical readouts.

10.25 Touchscreen Multimedia Display

A widescreen color display with multitouch interface makes it easy to access a world of features, including audio, phone and vehicle settings. In addition to the three input methods of the standard screen (touchscreen, console touchpad, and Touch Control steering wheel), it also responds to the advanced voice control you activate by saying "Hey, Mercedes." Predictive features can learn and anticipate your commands, while you can save groups of settings as themes and moods.

Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control

Separate left and right temperature controls allow the driver and front passenger to enjoy personalized comfort. In addition to fully automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution, the system includes a dust and pollen filter that helps keep particles as small as 5 microns from entering the cabin. Five adjustable vents in the dash and a pair of rear-cabin air vents help maintain passenger enjoyment throughout the cabin.

Touchpad Controller

A large touchpad controller on the console lets you operate the in-dash central touchscreen while your hand rests comfortably at your side. The touchpad works a lot like your smartphone, including multitouch gestures like swiping through menus and pinching to zoom. The touchpad surface includes dedicated Back, Skip and Home virtual keys, and even recognizes handwriting. Adjacent one-touch hard keys access several frequently used functions.

Sport Front Seats

Sport front seats feature deeper side bolsters to offer enhanced lateral support. All four outboard seats feature racing-inspired integrated head restraints.

AMG-enhanced 2.0L Inline-4 Turbo Engine

A 306-hp 2.0L inline-4 turbo engine features numerous AMG enhancements for instant response. Increased boost from its liquid-cooled turbo puts its 400 Nm of torque on tap at just 3,000 rpm, for a 0-100 time of just 4.9 seconds. Rapid-multispark ignition and high-pressure Direct Injection act with millisecond speed and molecular precision. Beneath its red-striped engine cover, a lightweight diecast-alloy block, variable valve timing and reduced friction further raise efficiency and performance.

AMG Performance 4MATIC All-Wheel Drive

AMG Performance 4MATIC® all-wheel drive is cleverly integrated with the gearbox, for class-leading lightness. A multiplate clutch in the rear differential instantly varies the torque split between the front and rear axles. Cornering agility is further enhanced by 3-stage ESP® and torque-vectoring ESP Dynamic Cornering Assist. From more confident cornering to more capable handling in any season, on any road, it's all-wheel drive of a higher order.

AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-Speed Dual-Clutch Transmission

The aggressively geared 7-speed DCT combines racing-derived dual-clutch design with AMG SPEEDSHIFT® technology. Able to change gears faster than a human can shift a traditional manual gearbox, its shift paddles and rev-matched downshifts provide instant response. In addition to a Manual mode, it has two automatic modes, Comfort and Sport. Carbon fiber friction linings optimize the response and durability of its fast-acting synchros.

AMG DYNAMIC SELECT

Multiple drive modes let you transform the car's character via a single control. Four modes (Comfort, Slippery, Sport and Sport+) alter the throttle response, shift points and steering effort, as well as the characteristics of ESP® and 4MATIC all-wheel drive. A fifth "Individual" mode allows you to create a mode of your own, even letting you set the transmission for purely manual shifting.

Panoramic Roof

Offering sweeping skyward views to both front- and rear-seat passengers, this giant, fully functional glass sunroof features a large panel that can tilt up for ventilation or slide back for an open-air feeling. A power interior shade lets occupants vary the amount of sunlight entering the cabin, and you can even open and close it using the car's advanced voice control system.

Power Front Seats with 3-Position Memory

Intuitive, seat-shaped controls help you find your ideal driving position with 8-way power adjustment, including 4-way power lumbar support. A memory system for each front seat recalls three stored seat positions with the touch of a button. The driver-seat memory also includes the power steering column and side mirror positions. Both front seats also feature adjustable cushion length, for optimal thigh support and added comfort.

64-Color LED Ambient Lighting

A network of LEDs let you create cabin ambience to suit your mood. Edge-lighting outlines the dash/door trim and console, while casting a glow in the dash vents, footwells, door handles and door pockets. Along with 64 selectable colors, three cabin zones and adjustable brightness, numerous programs let you enjoy two colors at once, and either static or slowly changing hues. A "light show" greets your arrival, while the dash vent lighting briefly acknowledges your climate-control adjustments.

Rearview Camera

For a better view of what's behind your vehicle when reversing, a high-resolution camera displays a live view on the central in-dash screen. Steering-dependent active guidelines on the screen help you back into a parking space, and you can select between wide-angle and even wider 180-degree views.

KEYLESS-GO

A leap in ease and efficiency pioneered by Mercedes-Benz, KEYLESS-GO® lets you unlock, start and drive away without removing the SmartKey from your pocket or purse. You can lock and unlock the doors with a touch of the exterior handles, and start the engine by stepping on the brake pedal and pushing the KEYLESS-START button on the dash.

MULTIBEAM LED Headlamps

The high-resolution MULTIBEAM LED headlamps, each with individually controlled high-performance LEDs, automatically illuminate the road with a hitherto unsurpassed, precision-controlled distribution of exceptionally bright light – without dazzling other road users.
