AMG Body Styling
Designed by the performance-minded artisans at Mercedes-AMG, the GLE's muscular lines are further defined by a deep front apron with larger mesh intakes and fine chrome details, a silver chrome insert in the rear bumper, color-keyed fender flares, and the signature chrome diamond-block grille with a single crossbar anchoring the iconic Star.
Athletic design
Distinctive features on the new GLE include the muscular lines between the C-pillars and the tail lights. Both elegant and powerful, they are typical of Mercedes-Benz's progressive design.

Touchpad Controller
A large new touchpad controller on the console lets you operate the in-dash central touchscreen while your hand rests comfortably at your side. The large touchpad works a lot like your smartphone, including multitouch gestures like swiping through menus and pinching to zoom.
Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control
Separate left and right temperature controls allow the driver and front passenger to enjoy personalized comfort. In addition to fully automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution, the system includes a dust and pollen filter that helps keep particles as small as 0.0002-inch from entering the cabin.
Stylish, Spacious Cabin
A dramatic new cabin concept pairs fresh technology with fine craftsmanship. The front seats flank a console anchored by two prominent grab handles, and face a floating, all-digital dash.

40/20/40-Split Folding 2nd-Row Seats
The rear seatbacks fold down in a 40/20/40 split, offering a variety of cargo and passenger configurations. You can also fold the center section independently, to fit longer items like skis between two rear passengers.
3rd-Row Seats
New 3rd-row seating provides room for two additional to ride in the GLE. Suitable for average-sized adults but ideal for children, the seatbacks can be folded down in a 50/50 split to enhance the versatility of the cargo area.
4MATIC Fully Variable All-Wheel Drive
A newly engineered version of 4MATIC® can automatically send from zero to 100% of the engine's torque to either axle, front or rear. A transfer case with a multi-disc clutch can vary the torque distribution based on the driving conditions in the moment.
9G-TRONIC Transmission with Shift Paddles
With a greater range of ratios and shorter steps between gears, the 9-speed automatic changes gears more quickly yet more smoothly. Along with a more seamless delivery of power, the lighter, more versatile transmission enhances quiet riding comfort and fuel-efficiency. The electronic selector and shift paddles let you control all gear changes with your hands on the steering wheel.

Panoramic Glass Sunroof
Offering sweeping skyward views to 1st- and 2nd-row passengers, this fully functional glass sunroof features a front panel that can either tilt up for ventilation or slide over the rear panel for an open-air feeling. Dual interior power shades allow occupants to adjust the amount of sunlight entering the cabin. A 50% larger viewing area lets passengers, even in the available third row, enjoy a greater view of the sun and stars.
4-Zone Climate Control
Four individual temperature controls offer personalized comfort to the front and rear cabins. In addition to fully automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution, the system includes sun and humidity sensors, a dust/pollen filter, and an activated charcoal filter that automatically recirculates cabin air upon detecting a significant increase in smog.
MULTIBEAM LED Headlamps
MULTIBEAM LED headlamps with ULTRA RANGE Highbeam give an even better view of the road ahead. Thanks to their 84 individually controllable LEDs, they can adjust extremely quickly and precisely to whatever traffic you're faced with.
Ambient Lighting
Beautiful by day, the GLE cabin grows even more captivating when night falls. Available 64-color LED ambient lighting lets you create an atmosphere to suit your mood. You can even call up motifs that use multiple hues together or in dynamic sequence.
Burmester Surround Sound System
High-quality speakers including twin FrontBass® subwoofers and a 590-watt 9-channel digital amplifier can fill the cabin with pure digital surround sound while seamlessly compensating for ambient noise.
Memory Package
Power front seats feature intuitive, seat-shaped controls on the door, plus a 4-way power lumbar support for the driver. To set and save your ideal driving position, a memory system for the driver seat recalls three stored positions for the seat, plus the positions of the 4-way power steering column and side mirrors.
KEYLESS-GO®
A leap in ease and efficiency pioneered by Mercedes-Benz, KEYLESS-GO® lets you unlock, start and drive away without removing the SmartKey from your pocket or purse. You can lock and unlock the doors with a touch of the exterior handles, and start the engine by stepping on the brake pedal and pushing the Start/Stop button on the dashboard.
